About Island Paradise Coatings
Island Paradise Coatings is owned and operated by Darryl Jacobson and his son Joel. While Darryl has worked in the concrete trade for over 30 years, Joel brings the creative expertise of over 13 years of custom countertop design and fabrication.
Darryl has been a journeyman Cement Mason since 1994 and loves teaching his trade, an added bonus to the partnership with his son. Joel has developed a fine eye for detail and scrupulous precision while creating countertops and tub-surrounds for exclusive clients This partnership is the perfect melding of skills needed to produce the artistry of Decorative Concrete Coatings as well as the unique creations using resinous coating materials created by Flexmar Polyaspartics.
Whether it is a deteriorated and aged surface needing repair, or a floor needing to be levelled, Island Paradise Coatings will satisfy your need and go beyond “normal” practise and achieve more than you expected. Island Paradise Coatings provides dustless concrete grinding using the Werkmaster grinding system to achieve proper surface preparation to accommodate the highly engineered topping systems available today.
Being the only factory trained installer of Flexmar Polyasparatics on the west coast assures a quality garage floor coating that carries an impressive warranty for high performance and customer satisfaction. For the restaurant/institutional side, polyaspartic coatings can be installed without disrupting the normal flow of business.
Flexmar is the original producer of polyaspartics and was the first to introduce a coating material that would cure in one hour… meaning that a regular garage floor could be ground and prepped, have 3 coats of product installed, and returned to service for the homeowner by supper time.
