Island Paradise Coatings is owned and operated by Joel Jacobson. Joel hated concrete work when he was younger. His father, Darryl Jacobson, who is a ticketed journeyman cement mason and has over 30 years experience in residential, commercial and all forms of decorative concrete, put Joel to work every summer vacation pouring and finishing driveways, sidewalks and stairs.
Joel desired to be creative with his hands. While Darryl stayed involved with concrete work throughout his entire life, Joel dabbled in other trades as well to learn new skills and processes that overlap into all trades. Eventually Darryl introduced Joel to the world of decorative concrete applications. Darryl is now retired. However, Joel continues to grow in his knowledge, skill set and experience in various forms of decorative concrete applications.
Island Paradise Coatings takes pride in all of their projects. We have been factory trained in FLEXMAR polyaspartics, Mapei epoxy coatings, Elitecrete and Duraamen micro-topings and coatings, and also in Werkmaster’s dry polished concrete systems.
